We are proud to be trustees of The Hope Foundation, helping to raise funds and supporting events. Set up in 1999 to raise funds for a Girls Home, The Hope Foundation is a registered Irish charity with offices in Ireland, India, the UK and Germany.
They work with 16 Indian partner organisations to rescue thousands of children from the streets and slums of Kolkata and enable them to have a better future. We recently coordinated the publication of a charity cookbook, in which all money raised from sales goes towards The Hope Foundation. The heritage cookbook is a legacy of much-loved Anglo-Indian recipes & remedies. It consists of a charming collection of handwritten recipes taken
from Bill Lethorn's family archives. They’ve been typed up exactly how they appear on Bill’s grandmother & mother’s original recipes, most of which are over 100 years old. Working alongside a wonderful food photographer Tony Briscoe and food stylist Penny Stephens, our job was to design all the artwork and visuals for the book. We honoured the legacy and traditions of the Anglo-Indian culture by creating detailed illustrations throughout the book.
